Fast Company recently hosted FC/LA, its “Creativity Counter Conference” in Los Angeles, California. The event featured intimate visits to workspaces and studios of LA’s leading organizations, engaging workshops, and inspiring keynote speakers. For attendees, one of the standout workshops was inspired by the history of Tetris.

Henk Rogers, Managing Director of The Tetris Company, was invited to host a special workshop with Maya Rogers, CEO and President of Blue Planet Software, sole agent for The Tetris company. Together, they provided attendees with an inside look at the Tetris brand’s success.

The workshop, titled “The Tetris Test: When The Next Best Thing Becomes a Brand with Staying Power,” demonstrated how perseverance and innovation drove Tetris to become one of the most iconic video game brands of all time. The duo also spoke about the keys to building a brand that continues to endure in an ever-changing market.

Henk and Maya were in good company at the event, joining the list of esteemed speakers, including  boxing champion Laila Ali, actor Geena Davis, producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Tinder CEO Sean Rad to name a few. And, for attendees who didn’t get a big enough dose of Tetris during the workshop, Electronic Arts was on-hand with Tetris Blitz game stations!
