Watch as One Couple Takes on Tetris Blindfolded
This couple takes Tetris teamwork to a whole new level.
In Tetris, we’re given plenty of room to create our own unique challenges. For some, this means stepping outside our comfort zone when it comes to things like T-Spins and the Hold Queue. For YouTubers Brodie & Kelsey, it means whipping out a blindfold and having your partner guide all of your Tetris moves.
Tetris is a game that requires a solid amount of visual coordination, as you need to carefully watch the screen to determine where each Tetrimino should go. Ask any Tetris player, and they’ll tell you just how frustrating it is to misplace a Tetrimino. By playing blindfolded, Brodie & Kelsey have created the ultimate Tetris trust exercise.
In the video, we see Kelsey try out a round of blindfolded Tetris first, with Brodie explaining what to do with each Tetrimino as it appears within the Matrix.
Surprisingly, the first few minutes of the game pass by without a single mishap. Unfortunately, Kelsey eventually misplaces an O-Tetrimino after Brodie’s enthusiastic direction of, “Left!” In the end, the duo are left with a score of 1,006. After that, it’s time to switch roles. This is where things spiral out of control, leaving Brodie & Kelsey with a less impressive score of 103.
Despite the variety of setbacks, the couple nevertheless does an amazing job at tag-teaming Tetris. One by providing directions, and the other by following them. If you’re looking for a new Tetris challenge to explore, we definitely recommend grabbing a friend and trying out Tetris blindfolded.
